Saint David’s Day 2009

Saint David’s Day 2009 is on Sunday 1st March.

Saint David is the patron saint of Wales and falls on 1st March every year.

Saint David's Day 2009Quite often to celebrate Saint David’s Day there are parades through welsh towns and cities with the largest taking place in Cardiff and many people take to wearing a daffodil or St David’s personal symbol of a leek.

Saint David’s Day is not a bank holiday although Saint David’s Day 2009 falling on a weekend gives more chance for the Welsh to celebrate it.
