Mothers Day 2009

In 2009 Mothers Day in the UK falls on Sunday 22nd March.

Mothers Day in the UK is always a Sunday (Originally named Mothering Sunday back in the 16th Century) and is a day that all Mothers are treated extra special for the day.

Mothers Day is celebrated on different days throughout the world but in the UK it always falls on the fourth Sunday in Lent, which is exactly three weeks before Easter Day (Easter 2009).

For many, Mothers Day 2009 will see gifts and cards given to mothers and a day when mothers won’t cook and be given a relaxing day.

The day to complement Mothers Day is Fathers Day (Fathers Day 2009)
