Shortest Day of the Year

The shortest day of the year in the UK is on December 21st.

The Shortest Day of the year is known as the Winter Solstice and is the day that the sun is in the sky the least giving the least amount of daylight between when the sun rises and the sunset.

This day relates to the Longest Day of the Year.
